Fostering Digital Citizenship in Indonesia
Over the last few years, we've seen a remarkable uptick in the usage of digital media of all kinds. We are now truly living in a global society, giving us the ability to contact family and friends around the world instantly.
Generations both young and old have taken to the digital age with gusto; we have all become digital citizens whether we realize it or not.
But as digital citizens, we must not forget that we have responsibilities. We must be careful and thoughtful in using this high-speed technology. This is why YCAB is honored to be working in partnership with Facebook on such high-profile and necessary topics like misinformation and cyberbullying through the tremendously successful ‘Think Before You Share’ campaign.
Education knows no bounds. Working with Facebook, we are able to reach and teach more than ever before. Through the 'Laju Digital' program, the partnership between YCAB and Facebook has benefited many people from all walks of life; for example, by empowering local governments and local communities through social media to resolve problems, strengthen ties and gain support for their campaigns, and SMEs in digital marketing, thus enabling them to expand their businesses and reach new customers.
YCAB believes that education is a powerful tool to create positive change. Working with Facebook magnifies that power exponentially.
