Due to the rapid development of technology, we are now able to access any information, communicate freely and to do our jobs from anywhere through various devices. In the past, we could only talk face-to-face or constantly go on business trips to facilitate our work. But now we can do all of this from the comfort of our home or from anywhere else through the wonders of the internet. Furthermore, even online education is fast becoming a mainstream form of learning. As a digital citizen, we are in constant digital discourse throughout the day and with the proper practice, we can develop not only ourselves but the digital environment at large. Although the digital world has given us numerous benefits, we must also recognize that the responsibilities of the digital citizen has increased accordingly. By understanding that everyone should maintain proper digital conduct, we can limit possible negative consequences of misinformation, online security threats, privacy breaches and more.
